A countryside wedding at Exmouth Country Lodge, Devon


Well, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve just discovered my new favourite venue! Adrianne and Edd had their absolute dream of a wedding at the beautifully rustic Exmouth Country Lodge in Devon, and I have to say that we were a match made in heaven!


While I was keen to jump in and marry Exmouth Country Lodge, Adrianne and Edd both got ready for the day in the little cottages that form part of the venue. Adrianne had her hair (@hairandmakeupbyrebeccajordan) and make up (@lauraelisabethmua) done alongside her maid of honour, Emma, and her mum while sipping on the bubbly, as everyone should do on their wedding day! Being so close, we were able to watch out of the window as guests arrived and the excitement for the wedding ceremony quickly rose! Once ready, I grabbed Adrianne’s dad and popped him out into the drizzle (just briefly!) so that we could do a fun little first look before heading into the ceremony. His reaction was as expected, and the tears started streaming early in the day!


The ceremony room for Exmouth Country Lodge was stunningly decorated with colours and fairy lights, all carefully done by Adrianne and Edd as part of their DIY wedding decor. Mind you, the buildings are so beautiful at Exmouth Country Lodge, they don’t need much doing to them to leave guests mesmorised! The ceremony was absolutely incredible and I found it hard to keep back my own emotions throughout as the light shone through the windows onto Adrianne and Edd and all of their loved ones. The first kiss was a good ‘un, and one that didn’t want to stop!


After the ceremony, teacups filled with dried flowers were handed out and excitedly poured over everyones heads upon Adrianne and Edd’s first walk outside as Mr and Mrs. With the important bits over, everyone happily fell into party mode and guzzled up cocktails, BBQ food, brownies and cheese! They even had the yummiest vegan churros for the evening, courtesy of House of Flavours Taunton.


The weather was a bit indecisive so we hopped in and out for outdoors photos whenever the sun decided to join us again! I was a very happy bunny when Adrianne even agreed to let me do a bubbly spray shot with them! I reassured her that I would end up more wet than they would, and I think the photos more than prove that it was worth it! A huge thank you to Anita at Exmouth Country Lodge for providing the bottle of bubbly!
